✅ Dos

  • Do pay obeisance to your Ishta Divam or Kula Divam before you start for ARKTEMPLES.
  • Do bathe in the Godavari and worship Sri Gnana Saraswathi Devi.
  • Do bathe and wear clean clothes (wear a dhoti with upper cloth) before you enter the temple.
  • Do concentrate only on Sri Gnana Saraswathi Devi inside the temple.
  • Do observe absolute silence inside the temple and chant "Om Sri Saraswathyei namo namaha".
  • Do respect ancient customs while in ARKTEMPLES.
  • Do pay obeisance (Pranaamam) with two hands. "Mukulitha Hastha Pranaamam" is auspicious.
  • Do respect and promote religious sentiments among the co-pilgrims.
  • Do deposit your offerings in the Hundi.
  • Do wear a tilakadharana in accordance with Hindu religion.
  • Be clean physically and mentally.
  • Follow the procedures and wait for your turn for Darshanam.
  • Do respect ladies, children, and senior citizens.

❌ Don'ts

  • Do not carry too much jewelry or cash with you.
  • Do not come to ARKTEMPLES for any purpose other than worshipping the Goddess.
  • Do not eat non-vegetarian food.
  • Don't wear footwear or move around in a vehicle inside temple premises.
  • Don't rush in for Darshanam; follow the queue.
  • Don't prostrate (sastanga pranamam) inside the temple.
  • Don't throw away Prasadam or theertham.
  • Don't wear flowers and garlands; they are for the Goddess only.
  • Don't encourage beggars; contribute to the needy instead.
  • Don't spit or litter inside the temple.
  • Don't enter the shrine improperly dressed.
  • Don't wear headgear unless required by your religion.
  • Don't carry weapons inside the temple.
  • Don't eat outside food or chew betel leaves inside.
  • Don't gossip or talk about sexuality in the temple.
  • Don't quarrel or show violence in the temple.
  • Don't boast about wealth or ego; be humble before God.
  • Don't bow before another person; bow only to God.
  • Don't sit with your back to the deity.
  • Respect pooja sequences; wait patiently for Darshanam.
  • Don't make pranamam with only one hand; use both hands.
